Squirrel
Squirrel was born on the 20th of April 2011
Squirrel and her sister arrived together on the 21st of July. Squirrel is a Brown F1 Tonkinese, the same as Aero, this means that she is a first generation Tonk of a brand new bloodline. Her mother is a Beautiful Siamese called Bubbles and her father is a Lilac Burmese.
Being a first generation means that she can not be shown under the GCCF rules, and neither can her children, this does not Affect us ourselves as we do not take our pets to shows. We are currently keeping our options open with Squirrel, we are waiting to see how she develops as she grows up to see if we will use her for breeding, depending on how the future goes, we may or may not take a litter from her. she is registered on the Active list and is being kept entire but there are many things that will effect our decision. There is nothing wrong with her herself which would stop us, but amongst other reasons she is from a litter of 3 girls who have all gone for breeding so it might be that we just dont need her to have a litter if the other 2 girls grow up to have litters themselves
Squirrel is a very loving and hectic Tonk! she is currently 6 months old and never stops for a moment, her and Aero use each other to keep the chain of energy constant and they bounce (sometimes literally) off each other! She is very adventurous. Before we got to know her, she was meant to be called Minstrels, but once she flew in to our lives it was clear that Minstrels just did not suit her. She loves to climb up you and sit on your shoulder like a parrot, and sleep around your neck when you are in bed which is very cute as a kitten but I can see we will have problems as she grows! Squirrel also seems to run up things and over things so fast and climbs everything so she could really only be called Squirrel! her favorite place is sitting on any unsuspecting persons shoulder, or asleep on your lap.
